FILMSSCOPE is pleased to announce the selection of After the Curtain, a new documentary project directed by Enriko Hamzaj and produced by Elisabeta Rama, for Interaction: DocuConnect Balkans 2026, taking place in Požega, Serbia, from 21 to 25 August 2026.

After the Curtain is an observational documentary project set within the world of Albanian ballet, following the people, spaces and daily realities surrounding the profession. The project is currently in development and will use the Interaction programme as an opportunity to further develop its creative, production and co-production strategy.

The selection brings the project into a regional documentary environment alongside filmmakers and industry professionals from the Balkans and beyond, marking an important step in its development.

The next stage will focus on research, access, development and preparing the project for production.
